Bradford Marriages in North Carolina
Below is the list of marriages I've found regarding Bradfords as either the bride or groom. I have preserved the spelling of names and abbreviations of names, but put the date in the format of the first 3 letters of the month, then the day, then the year. In cases where the information comes from the actual marriage record, dates are written as "the ___ th day of ______ in the _____ year of our Lord". Please note that in almost all cases, the date is the date of the marriage bond or license, not the date of the actual marriage. In some cases, the actual date is recorded. In those cases, I will put the actual marriage date in the date field and in the notes give the date of the bond. Records from the Raleigh Register are of the actual marriage date. There are multiple sources for these marriages. If no source is given in the source field, the source is either the actual marriage record or bond located at the State Archives of North Carolina or the index of marriages listed by county, which are also available in the State Archives of North Carolina. If the source is a newspaper (such as the Raleigh Register, the date of the issue the announcement was published in will be in parantheses in the source section.
