I am searching for the parents and siblings of my ggrandfather, James BRADFORD, born around 1850, place unknown (family story is that he came from TX or Mexico to Talladega Co., AL (no proof), married Mary Jane BREWER (born round 1856 in Coosa Co, AL), daughter of Jeremiah BREWER and Minerva???? James BRADFORD and Mary Jane BREWER's children are:

  • Mary BRADFORD, born around 1889 in Talladega Co, AL, married George KELLY,
  • 2 infant children died in childbirth,
  • Alan BRADFORD, born around 1895, was killed in Lineville, Clay Co, AL around late 1918 (while working in a mine a coworker cut his head off),
  • Annie(Annice) BRADFORD(my grandmother, I am named after her), born 1898 in Talladega Co, AL, died Jan 1940 (my daddy was just 4 years old), married Thomas Andrew Jackson GABLE in 1920 in Talladega Co, AL.

The family story is that James BRADFORD had 2 families at the same time. One in Talladega Co., AL (my grandmother, Mary Jane BREWER BRADFORD and her children) and one either in TX or Mexico. Again no proof, just what has been told by my family. The Children of James BRADFORD and Mary Jane BREWER were all born in Talladega Co, AL and most of them still reside there.

Have extensive information on this family up to James BRADFORD and then nothing.

Looking for John BRADFORD who was born abt 1802 possibly in SC. He married Henrietta BISHOP bef 1825 in Bibb CO, AL. They had the following known children;

  • Susan-1825
  • Julia Ann-1827
  • John abt 1830 in SC.

I do not know any thing else about John or Henrietta.

Julia Ann BRADFORD married Thomas Walker RISINGER on Oct 19, 1843 in Bibb CO, AL. They had the following known children:

The first five children were born in Bibb CO, AL, the next five in Union Parish, LA. The last six were born in Tyler Co, TX. Julia Ann died Mar 31, 1908 in Madison Co, TX.

Julia's sister, Susan, married a William B. TUCKER on Feb 10, 1842 in Bibb Co, AL. They had the following children;
